Elem./MG – The Minor Miracle: The Amazing Adventures of Noah Minor

Davis, Meredith. The Minor Miracle: The Amazing Adventures of Noah Minor. Illustrated by Billy Yong. Waterbrook, 2024. 978-0-593-44533-4. 262 p. $13.99. Grades 4-8.

When Noah Minor was a baby, his great-uncle threw him off the 16 story balcony… and he survived. However, that’s the only exciting thing that’s ever happened to Noah. Until he learns that he is able to manipulate gravity and gets recruited to join a top secret agency called Gravitas! Noah is convinced that now his life is going to be awesome, but the opposite seems to be happening. His great-uncle Saul, the same one who threw him off the balcony when he was a baby, is a super villain and the main person that Gravitas is after. But Noah feels like there is something he’s not being told about his powers, and Saul might be the only one who can help him. Will Noah be able to use his powers to their fullest or will he be stuck being a minor character in his own story?

THOUGHTS: This was super fun! Great for readers wanting books similar to Diary of A Wimpy Kid or Timmy Failure series. Also great for kids who are fans of superheroes! Must own for any elementary or middle school collection.
