Do you eat rocks? Drink turtle tears? Throw up your food? No? Well, certain animals do! This book shares quick, strange, fun facts about butterflies, chipmunks, Canada jay, crocodile, vampire bats, pygmy shrew, Arctic fox, sea otters, rattlesnakes, giant pandas, and flamingos. It compares these animals to how humans eat and store food. For example, a chipmunk will store food in its cheeks as humans store food in the refrigerator. The book discusses different eating habits and that food is essential to life. 

THOUGHTS: This title is a nice, quick read about animals and their eating habits. It would make a great comparison lesson or even an introduction to an animal unit.
